This is the premier hackathon of North Texas. Join this event for an unforgettable experience creating new things alongside 2,000 of the best designers, developers, and creators in the world. All types of participants welcome and students are free!

Join the AR Standards Hackathon to learn about and develop AR (augmented reality) experiences using existing and emerging standards. You will get an introduction to existing and emerging specifications designed for AR experiences, there will be augmented reality experts on site, devices for testing AR, food, beverages, and sample or suggested use cases. All you need to bring along is your programming skills, your laptop, an open mind for augmented reality, and user cases you want to work on.

In an era of Connectedness, we still face rising tides of loneliness, need for authentic connection through our life course and the challenge of preserving vitality. Clinicians, Carers, Consumers and Policymakers are navigating their way through the maze of technology changes + challenges, but need help sorting signal from noise, fact from fiction, progression from stasis and decay. Our Hackathon experience at the University of Newcastle will give early career exposure and cross-disciplinary design experiences to ICT, Design, Business and Health students, informed and shaped by experienced clinicians, consumers and carers on contemporary healthcare issues. Their challenge, over 54hrs, will be to design + develop 1st generation technical prototypes to address a healthcare problem with targeted use of contemporary technology. In doing so, our event attendees will develop a strong working understanding of the challenges, constraints and possibilities in an intensive crucible of health+tech curiosity. Let's work together to see what can be cooked up with the right ingredients of our 5CFocus: Care, Clinical Skills+Experience, Connectedness, Creativity and Cutting Edge technology. Our event winners will be eligible for a range of cash and in-kind incentives from local companies and Sydney technology incubators. However, we're also making remote teaming options possible, so if you want to interact from outside the Hackathon room, you'll still be able to work with embedded teams.

The Droidcon Italy hackathon is about Android development in general, with particular focus on new trends such as wearable, IoT, material design and more. The theme to be followed will be announced on the first day of the hackathon!

This mini-hackathon will focus on WebRTC. You will be able to mash-up with other capabilities such as Internet of Things (drones), Artificial Intelligence (Watson and Amazon Alexa), Messaging (Slack), and lots more. Developers get access to the WebRTC Global Summit and the TADHack-mini London winners and runners up pitch at the WebRTC Global Summit for even greater exposure.

WearHacksKW is a 36-hour Hackathon about Wearables and IoT. Learn, create, and hack in a city known for its technological innovations. With access to a multitude of the best hardware on the market you will have the chance to design and build anything you have ever dreamed of! The hardwear that will be available to you include Thalmic Labs Myo, Leap Motion, Microsoft Kinect, Microsoft Band, Nod Ring, Oculus Rift DK2, Estimote Beacons, Pebble, mbientlab Metawear, Photon Internet Button, XYZ GestureSense, and Particle.io Kits!

Join the IEEE UofT Hardware Hackathon to work to work on interesting new devices, show off your hardware knowledge and strengthen your skills. It will be a fun 24-hour event where you will be divided in teams of two and take on the challenge to create a functional and creative electronic device of your choice! A wide variety of parts including an Arduino Uno will be made available to all participants in order to make powerful devices!

AT&T is hosting their AT&T Mobile App Hackathon once again, this time including hardware. Form a team and brainstorm ideas at this months #WetWareWed. All Software Developers & Engineers including individuals that are professors/instructors in the field, as well as students studying software development are welcome!

A 30-hour hackathon for you to rethink, prototype and validate business ideas! Differently from the usual hackathons, #startathon will focus on learning and actualising. Several masterclasses are held during the event, on topics such as Internet of Things, Mobile App Development, Digital Fabrication, and Business Modelling. You will also be creating a prototype of your idea with the latest tools in open source hardware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Particle Photon, ESP8266) and IoT development boards. There will also be equipment, tools and materials for traditional and digital fabrication, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and many more!

The NFL is exposing it’s data for developers. The challenge will be to develop the next generation of engaging NFL stories using the provided NFL Next Gen Stats Data. Using the raw location data, you’ll have to find an innovative way to get information or patterns out of the data that can provide new insight into the game, educate the fan, or demonstrate the game in a new way that will blow everyones mind away!
