L’Oréal is looking for new products that can help wash and treat hair using zero, to less water (when rinsing). It is because of this, L’Oréal is calling on all startups, midsize companies and multinationals from various industries (chemistry, smart materials, medicine, cosmetics, electronics, etc.) who have a commercialized solution that can solve the issue of overconsumption of water.
The selected companies will showcase their solutions to the L’Oréal Research & Innovation teams in Paris on February 3, 2020.
Following this Showcase Day, L’Oréal’s internal teams will attend a hackathon to evaluate, test and prototype the solutions presented to them. The chosen companies will get the opportunity to secure a partnership contract with one of the top leaders of the beauty industry.

For geekspeak's 4th annual hackathon, Body Hack, participants will work in teams for 36-hours to create a hardware and/or software prototype that addresses a healthcare issue.We want to demonstrate how technology can be used to improve the lives of people locally as well as around the world.
Deep Science Hackathon 2020

The Deep Science Hackathon, organized by the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), will be the fifth Hackathon in Latvia of that kind. We will identify the strongest material-based high technology ideas with the potential for innovations, that will take a permanent place in the environment of new enterprises of Baltics. For three days, participants will create interdisciplinary teams and develop ideas with a help of mentors. At the end of theevent,they will present their ideas to a jury, investors and stakeholders. During theevent,participants will also be able to learn more about the new enterprise ecosystem, business model canvas, presentation and investor-pitch preparation.

Hosted by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at The University of Auckland, the conference and datathon will be heldFriday 17th January to Sunday 19th January 2020at the Owen G Glenn Building, Auckland University.
Event attendees will learn from MIT Critical Data Faculty and local and international experts about the opportunities of Data Science and AI for healthcare..
During the Datathon, participants will then form teams of health professionals, data scientists and anyone else passionate about healthcare, data analytics, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to answer clinical questions and health system challenges using health datasets!
