Are you a creative and innovative developer, gamer, coder, designer or student? We are inviting 60 passionate techies to our HQ in Düsseldorf. In cooperation with Techfugees, this year the challenge will be to overcome the gap between refugees and digital jobs. Together we want to find technical solutions to barriers such as language, missing skills in computer technology, infrastructure or access to IT equipment. Tout bien - Okidoki en Junction, organiseren een hackathon van 18 - 19 november 2017. Tout bien-Okidoki is een vzw die het taboe wil doorbreken dat zelfdoding nog altijd is en suïcide bespreekbaar maken. Niet alleen voor mensen met suïcidale gedachten, maar ook voor al wie hen omringt.  Met de hackathon willen we iedereen samenbrengen die iets wil bijdragen aan dit onderwerp. Iedereen is welkom, of je al een idee hebt of niet. Tijdens het weekend vormen we teams, is er coaching voorzien en er worden oplossingen uitgewerkt. Deze oplossingen kunnen bijdragen aan preventie, maar kunnen bijvoorbeeld ook dienen ter ondersteuning van familie en vrienden. Dit kunnen zowel IT als niet-IT oplossingen zijn. Spread the word! ---- Together with Tout bien - Okidoki, we organise a hackathon in november. Tout bien-Okidoki is a non-profit association which aims at breaking the taboo around suicide and wants to adress the issue. Not just for people with suicidal thoughts, but also those surrounding them.  With the hackathon, we want to bring everyone together that wants to contribute to this matter. We welcome everyone, whether you already have an idea or not. During the weekend, we form teams. There is coaching foreseen as well. Solutions and ideas are developed. These solutions can contribute to prevention, but can also be helpful for family and friends. These can be IT as non-IT related solutions. Spread the word!

Join us at the 1st EMODnet Open Sea Lab to explore EMODnet's marine open data! During a three day open data bootcamp from 15-17 November 2017 in the vibrant Startup Village in Antwerp Belgium, we will ideate and co-create innovative solutions to unique problems using EMODnet’s wealth of marine data and services.

Ready to join the Data Science Bootcamp 2017? We are pleased to open our 24 Data Science Bootcamp's sessions to the public! In this session, Eric Lecoutre, from WeLoveDataScience, will take all the participants in a hackathon mode to perform a data analysis on paintings related data. An art expert will be present and contribute to the totally non-objective evaluation, showing the relevance of qualitative input in data related projects. Team working, collaboration and sharing will be encouraged. Moreover, it is expected from the participants to act as consultant. The dynamic will allowing determining key questions and topics a consultant must consider when dealing with analytical projects. Target Data Science professionals interested to improve their consulting skills. Prerequisites Knowledge of one of these technologies: Python, R or SAS. Der NRW Hackathon richtet sich an alle, die Spaß an offenen Daten haben und beim #NRWHack testen wollen, welcher Nutzen und welche Geschäftsideen in Open-Data-Anwendungen stecken können. Los geht es am Freitag mit einem Warmup für alle Open-Data-Enthusiasten, die bei spannenden Workshops frisches Know-How und erste Ideen für den Coding-Samstag sammeln können … Der Samstag steht dann ganz im Zeichen eurer Datenprojekte und dem Spaß am gemeinsamen Coden: Mitmachen können DesignerInnen, ProgrammiererInnen, Web-EntwicklerInnen, Studierende und Lehrende – und alle interessierten Bürger und Bürgerinnen. Die Teilnehmer und Teilnehmerinnen arbeiten dabei in Teams zusammen, die zu Beginn des Hackathons am Samstag gebildet werden.

Desire of Innovation Hackathon Samen lossen we het onoplosbare op Kan een app eenzame mensen helpen?Mensen met hersenletsel die vastlopen, hoe help je die aan de juiste zorg?Wat moet je doen om een verpleegkundige meer tijd voor zorg te geven en minder voor administratie? Ken jij problemen in de zorg die maar niet opgelost worden? Wil jij helpen om ze te doorbreken? What the hack?Innovatie voor zorg is hot! Maar het vuurtje mag best wat harder branden, want er zijn nog genoeg problemen die onoplosbaar lijken. De eerste Desire of Innovation Hackathon brengt mensen met zo'n wicked problem en creatieve breinen bij elkaar. Samen lossen we het onoplosbare op. We gaan het zorgsysteem hacken! Hoe? Door kunst, zorg en techniek 12 uur in een innovatiebroedplaats uit te dagen.  Hacking the system! In Innovitapark spelen we 28 oktober de innovation game. De start is een probleem waar de zorg al jaren mee worstelt. Iets wat via de normale weg maar niet opgelost wordt. Je gaat verschillende levels doorlopen om na 12 uur een oplossing te hebben die ook echt uitgeprobeerd wordt en de zorg vernieuwt. Tijdens de hackathon krijg je hulp van coaches en inspirerende sprekers. Terwijl je de hackathon speelt, krijg je een vitality check en speel je toffe side games. Daarmee verdien je voordelen in de hackathon, zoals een Pecha Kucha-training, extra adviestijd van coaches of mag je tijd stelen van de andere deelnemers.  Hoe zien die 12 uur eruit?Op zaterdag 28 oktober om 09:00 uur starten we met een kick off. Je ontmoet de hackers, krijgt inspirerende verhalen en voorbeelden te horen en gaat met een wicked problem aan de slag. In het Innovitapark in het creatieve havengebied van Roosendaal wordt met muziek en lekkere hapjes keihard gewerkt om de eerste levels te halen. Eind van de ochtend heb je een concept gepresenteerd en is jouw team gevormd. De dag staat vol met uitdagingen en games, met maar 1 doel: om 20:00 uur presenteer je een briljante en creatieve oplossing met jouw team. Een professionele jury beoordeelt de plannen en gaat er voor zorgen dat ze ook echt uitgeprobeerd worden. Om 21:00 uur schuiven we de speakers verder open en start het feest. HR professionals in and around Düsseldorf! STARTPLATZ invites you to register to participate in the New Work Week: Pen & Paper Hackathon. Unlike normal hackathons, this event will not require any coding! Instead, you'll be challenged to come up with pen and paper designs to solve issues of concern to the HR process, such as the future of employee recruitment, how to improve the efficiency of onboarding, and how to improve employee retention.

Robotics techie enthusiasts in Belgium! Are you planning to participate in the InQbet Robotics and AI Hackathon? If so, then you're invited to attend the Hackathon kick-off at the Procter & Gamble in Brussels. You'll learn about the current and future state of robotics from leading experts in the field. Robotics techie enthusiasts in Belgium, the United States, and Singapore! You're invited to participate in the InQbet Robotics and AI Hackathon. In this 4-week hackathon, you'll be challenged to design and build a viable prototype in one of the following areas: Bots for consumers, Bots in laboratories, Bots in production processes and Bots in logistics. You can register as a team or join a team at the kickoff. This is an international event -- you can participate at home, or in one of three locations in Brussels, Singapore, or Newark, NJ.

Join us on October 26th for an evening of networking and inspirational workshops before the hackathon takes place to prepare and gain insights.  At this event, we will give you more information and details of the hackathon challenges.  This event is not mandatory-- the goal is to inspire and kick start your idea generating.
