Girl Geek Sydney and Hackathons Australia are teaming up for a joint meetup at Fishburners from 6:30pm on Tuesday 28th March, 2017.
We'll be hearing from Liz Kaelin, CEO of Caitre'd (Formerly YouChews) who has previously appeared on Shark Tank on her transformation from hackathon idea to Australian startup. We also have Amanda Caunt, the brains behind Remarkable's Designathon focused on building solutions identified by peple with disabilities, therapists and caregivers.
Azadeh Khojandi, Microsoft tech evangelist who attended Girl Geek Sydney's #SheHacks Hackathon; and Manuel Betancurt, IoT Specialist who attended Remarkable's Enabled by Design-athon will also be pitching and sharing their learnings at the event.

Speakers
Liz Kaelin is a dietitian, nutritionist and foodie-turned-founder of leading Australian food tech startup Caitre'd, a catering concierge service. Recently featured on last season's Shark Tank, she is a SydStart top 10 finalist, a muru-D class#2 alumni, a portfolio CEO of Heads over Heels, a Telstra Women in Business spokesperson, was recently named one of Australia’s Top 50 Female Entrepreneurs two years running and was the only startup founder recipient of last year’s prestigious Marketing Academy Scholarship, Sydney cohort.
Amanda Caunt is a passionate hackathon organiser, an events and communications specialist who has worked across both corporate and not for profit sectors. Her design thinking methodology in the events spectrum has given her the upper hand when coordinating Remarkable's programs. Amanda is also well known for drinking those healthy green juices.

Fishburners is hosting the first Data Hackathon with Flight Centre here in Brisbane!
Up for grabs for the winning team is $10k in prize money and all teams will have a chance at future collaboration with Flight Centre for the right idea.So, who should attend this event? We’re looking for a mix of business people, marketers, developers, designers and people who can generally make stuff happen.You’ll be provided with test endpoints to develop against and access to agents and Flight Centre technical staff through the weekend.The hackathon will take place in Fishburners new Brisbane office located right in the heart of Queen St Mall and will kick off on Friday 24th March at 6pm.The Challenge:How can Flight Centre assist agents in delivering further improved travel advice through data availability?Flight Centre has a well-developed process for providing premium travel advice using 6,000 experienced retail travel agents across Australia.During this process, agents combine their expertise with data and references to develop a high-quality experience for their customer.We’re looking for teams ready to find ways of using the purchase history of the customer, plus any data sources they can find and use responsibly, to further equip agents with useful insights to share with customers while planning their travel.
The teams solutions will be evaluated by a judging panel including Flight Centre management.
